The study of lentinan
Abstract: Lentinan is the dextran which is extracted from the seed of lentinus edodes(Berk)sing produced in Fujian province by DEAE cellulose chromatography and graded precipitation. Its molecular weight is 10-70×104 dalton. With methanol decomposition, periodic acid oxidation, Smithdegradation, methylation, gas chromatography and gaschromatography-mass spectrometer analysis, it was confirmed that the poly-branched structure is dextran with β(1→3)branched chain and β(1→3)main chain, Lentinan injection has been prepared. It has effect for the treatment of chronic virus hepatitis and tumor.
