Pharmacological preconditioning of Yixin Oral Liquid (YOL) during myocardium ischemia and reperfusion in rat

Abstract: OBJECTIVE To investigate the protective mechanism of YOL on ischemia/reperfusion (I/R) myocardium.METHODS48 male SD rats,weighting (260±30)g,were divided into 6 groups.They were normal control,I/R,classical ischemic precondition(C-IPC),sham-operated,Isosorbide dinitrate and YOL.The intracelular calcium concentration of the cardiomyocyte and hemodynamic changes were measured in all groups.RESULTS LVSP、±dp/dt in C-IPC and YOL tread with ischemia 30 min and followed by reperfusion 60 min were obviously higher in I/R(P<0.05)while LVSP、±dp/dt of C-IPC was alsodefinitely high compared with YOL(P<0.05).The intracel ular calcium concentrat ion in C-IPC and YOL were lower in I/R(P<0.05),while[Ca2+]I of YOL was increased in C-IPC (P<0.05).CONCLUSIONS Yix in oral Liquid(YOL)precondit ioning can protect the myocardium from I/R.The possible protective mechanism may be due to decrease calcium overload in cardiomyocyte.
