Abstract: Objective: To study the chemical constituents of the branches of Daphne genkwa Sieb.et Zucc. Methods: Column chromatography on Silica gel and Sephadex LH-20,and recrystallization were used for the isolation and purification of the constituents. The structures were identified on the basis of spectral analysis and chemical evidences. Results: From the crude CHCl3 fraction of the EtOH extract of the branches of D.genkwa,6 coumarins were isolated and identified, which were umbelliferone(1),daphnoretin (2),daphnetin(3),edgeworthin(4),edgeworin(5),and umbelliferone-7-O-β-D-glycoside(6). Conclusion: ICompounds 3~6 were isolated and identified from the branches of Daphne genkwa for the first time.
