Abstract: Species binomial arranged by natural systems to ensure uniform standards of humanity can give a common understanding of life on Earth. Latin name of medicinal plants and crude drugs is an important component of botany and pharmacognosy theory teaching system for the pharmacy undergraduate and is the basic training for plant classification and identification of crude drug. However, there is a widespread phenomenon that both teaching and learning sides do not think highly of knowledge of Latin name in medical university. This article analyzed the reasons for this phenomenon and the resulting impact, combined with providing targeted improvement measures through the teaching experience.
