Analysis on chemical constituents of ershen pill by HPLC-TOF/MS

  • Objective To analyze chemical constituents of ershen pill by rapid-resolution(high performance) liquid chromatography-time of flight mass spectrometry (HPLC-TOF/MS). Methods A shelloseido column(3.0 mm×100 mm,3 μm) was used to separate. The mobile phase consisted of water containing 0.1% methane acid and acetonitrile was used as gradient elute. The flow rate was 0.6 ml/min. TOF/MS was applied for qualitative analysis under positive ion mode. Results Under LC/MS condition, 21 major constituents in ershen pill were identified by time of flight mass spectrometry, among which, 15 constituents were from Psoralea corylifolia L,and 6 constituents were from Myristica fragrans Houtt. Conclusion A simple and reliable method using HPLC-TOF/MS was established to identify the chemical constituents of ershen pill.
