Abstract: OBJECTIVE To measuring the content of erythromycin in compound erythromycin alcoholic solution. METHODS Colorimetric and polarimetric analysis were used. RESULTS: The average recoveries of two methods were 99.27%,RSD=0.48% and 99.45%,RSD=0.84% respectively. CONCLUSIONS The two methods were simple and exact. The colorimetric analysis is more sensitive and exact compared with the polarimetry analysis.
