Stability study of fleroxacine injection and prediction of its expiry term

  • Objective To study statility of fleoxacin injection at room temperature as to predict its expiry term.Methods The content of fleroxacin injection was determined by UV spectrophotometry,the expiry term was predicted by initial average rate methods.Result The content of fleroxacine changed markedly and its color darkened when it was exposed to light.But it was stable when it was exposed to room temperature or high temperature.Expiry term predicted at room temperature is 1.5year.Conclusion Initial average rate method is convenient and rapid.The fleroxacin injection should be keep in a dark place.
