Determination of camphor in compound menthol nasal drops by ultraviolet spectrophotometry

Abstract

Objective To establish a quantitative analysis method for camphor in compound menthol nasal drops.Methods The camphor was determined directly at (292±1)nm by ultraviolet spectrophotometry.Results:The calibration curve was linear in the range from 1.62～3.24mg/mL with r=0.9992,the average recovery and relative standard deviation were 100.06% and 1.29% respectively. Conclusion The method is simple,rapid and accurate.
