Abstract: Objective To screen the samples of stronger antagonism to anti-endotoxin in vitro from Ampelopsis radix through a preliminary comparative analysis on before and after processing of Ampelopsis radix. Methods The principle of agglutination produced by the limulus reagent and endotoxin was used.Different concentration samples were used to destroy the agglutination reaction so as to initially screen for the effect of in vitro anti-endotoxin. Results The processing products of Ampelopsis radix still had in vitro anti-endotoxin activity at the 1:2 000 concentration. Conclusion Ampelopsis radix after processing had stronger in vitro anti-endotoxin effect.
